Austin's beloved music festival, Hot Summer Nights, is making its grand return to downtown Austin from July 24–26 with an impressive lineup of over 140 free performances across more than 15 venues. Now in its eighth year, this festival aims to uplift Austin’s creative community during one of the slowest periods in the local music scene.
A Community-Centric Initiative
Born from the Red River Cultural District, Hot Summer Nights serves as a cornerstone for local artists to showcase their talent and keep the vibrant Austin music scene alive during the hot summer months. “Hot Summer Nights is more than just a music festival – it’s a homegrown solution to keep our creative economy alive during one of the slowest times of year,” said Nicole Klepadlo, the Executive Director of the district. By featuring local artists across a variety of genres, from indie rock to electronic music, the festival enriches the city’s cultural tapestry.

- New Venues: Expanding the roster to include establishments like Kingdom, Marlow, Feels So Good, and The Side Bar.
- Daytime Events: Live performances will also occur at watering holes like Waterloo Park and Mohawk, catering to early-bird concertgoers.
- Night Market: A diverse lineup of local vendors will showcase their offerings, curated by nonprofit Future Front Texas, supporting community-driven initiatives.
